The Royalheirs had a good Sunday! We started out at 5:00 a.m. and headed to Centreville United Methodist Church. We had a good service and we want to thank the sweet lady that made us the cake. After that we were off to Battle Creek to sing for Lakeview Baptist. What a lovely church with the neatest pipe organ. We want to thank the pastor for helping us sing Long Black Train.

Two new churches and a lot of nice people. We love coming to every one of your churches and sharing our music.

Our last time out singing was in Ohio. The morning service was at First Baptist in Sandusky. While there we were lucky enough to be asked to judge their chili cook-off entries. We hope to be invited back again one day (even though we didn't choose the pastor's chili....sorry Pastor Dan).

We then were off to Bucyrus, Ohio to the Church of God. It was our first chance to sing in Bucyrus. As a matter of fact, it was the first time I even heard of Bucyrus.

This weekend we will be in western Michigan. Sunday morning in Centreville and Sunday night in Battle Creek. Come on out and hear us sing.

The past week has been crazy for The Royalheirs. Last Sunday, we started out at Reading Nazarene with a great service. As we left there for the trip to Ovid, we saw mighty clouds of black smoke begin to pour out of the engine of the bus. We were able to make it to the Meijer's parking lot in Mason, MI. Shem's parents, Rich and Jill Koutz came to our rescue and brought two vans to pick up us and all the equipment to get to our concert. We arrived at 5:30 p.m. and had everything setup and were singing by 6:05 p.m. The church was packed and we had another great service that day.

The bus finally made it back to Flint on Tuesday and will be in the shop for awhile. This weekend, we are in Ohio traveling in my wife, Pam's van. Please pray that the repair bill will be low and that we all survive the close quarters we will have in the van. Four big guys in a van after judging a chili cook-off in the morning service may not be good.
