Latest News From The Royalheirs

Sorry it's been so long since we've updated our news page but we have been having computer issues.

Last Saturday we had the opportunity to be a part of Gospel Fest at Bentley United Methodist Church with The Grimshaws and The Shoreliners Quartet. The church was packed and we had a lot of fun with the congregation and the new pastor.

Sunday we sang at two new churches. The morning service was at New Haven United Brethren in Middleton, MI. Everything there was great...the congregation, the pastor and the potluck after the service. The evening service as at Edwards Community Church in West Branch. We had a chance to pray with a father whose 22 year old son has walked away from his family and his Lord. Please keep Jeremy, his father and the rest of their family in your prayers.

We have the upcoming weekend off and always look forward to being in our home churches. Don't forget The Royalheirs 14th Anniversary Concert (with special guests, The Browders) on Saturday, October 17th at 6:00 p.m. at Mayville United Methodist Church.

Until next time,

Chuck

We were back to Vestaburg for the annual chicken barbecue dinner at Pine River Church of God. This was our second year at the event. Both the chicken and the concert were great.

Sunday morning we were in Beaverton at the United Methodist Church. This was our first visit to this church. The congregation was very receptive to our music. We have attended many church potlucks in our 14 years of ministry and the Beaverton United Methodist Church served us one of the best we've ever had.

Sunday night we sang at another church for the first time, Goodrich Assembly of God. It was not only our first time there but it was their new pastor's first Sunday. We were blessed to have another great crowd to sing to and several hands were raised at the end of the service asking for prayer. We also appreciated the great no-bake cookies they gave us for the ride home.

If you haven't already heard songs from our new project, I'll Never Sail Alone, go to our music page and listen to the song clips. If you like what you hear, you can order a CD from the Royalheirs at the address on the homepage (the cost is $15.00 plus $3.50 shipping) or buy on ITunes.

Until next time,

Chuck

We had a great weekend of singing. Saturday we were at Bayshore Camp in Sebewaing for the annual Lloyd Severance Gospel Music Convention. It's always great to see all our friends from the other gospel groups that we don't get a chance to sing with except once a year at Bayshore. We had around 1,500 people at the concert. Of course, we had the usual Bayshore rain but it didn't dampen the spirit of the performers or the crowd.

Sunday morning we sang at Jeff (our tenor) and Kory Hawks home church, Millington Church of God. What a great church! You could really feel the Lord's presence. What a service! While we were eating lunch in Millington, we were pleasantly suprised when Dennis Gwisdala and his soundman, Jim stopped in to say hello. Dennis was also singing in Millington that morning.

Then we were off to Clare, Mi to Colonville Bible Church. They were a sweet congregation and the food and fellowship after the concert was much appreciated. Shem's grandma (pictured above) was with us too. She is such a sweet and adorable woman and we were so happy to meet her.

Hope to see you Saturday in Brown City!

Until next time,

Chuck
