Latest News From The Royalheirs

Tuesday, August 08, 2006

It's been a very busy (and very hot) summer so far for The ROYALHEIRS. (Their new summer shirts have been soaked more than once...lol) The Genesee Belle Boat Trip was another success and a lot of fun. This Saturday is the summer concert that features Kirk Talley and if you don't have tickets, don't worry.....you can still purchase them at the door for $15.00. If you haven't seen Kirk in concert, you need to come out because he is absolutely wonderful and will certainly be a blessing to all that attend.

The guys are working hard on their upcoming project and hope to start recording soon. The songs that they have "previewed" so far at different places have been well received. I'm sure you will be able to hear a few of the new songs at Bayshore this year. It's hard to believe that it's almost time for Bayshore already. Where did the summer go??

I also wanted to let you know about another new project that Chuck produced in honor of one of his best friends and singing partner, Duane Grimes. Chuck suprised him with it on the boat trip. He had no idea that Chuck had even been working on it. The title is "Duane Grimes - Through The Years" and it is comprised of some of the most requested songs that featured Duane when he was with The Calvarymen. Chuck got permission from Jim Glasco to rerecord these songs taking out all the static and scratchy noises that the old albums have. It was done with love for Duane and is a tribute that was long overdue. We have the cd's available and I hope you pick one up at one of our concerts.

Blessings,

Pam
